THAHEKHU CHURCH
Designed in 2016, Thahekhu Church is a long-term architectural project envisioned as a modern, purpose-built church campus. The first four years of construction were dedicated primarily to site preparation, land development, and the extensive foundation works required for the scale of the project.
The structural steel framework was digitally fabricated using CNC technology in Bangalore, with every component manufactured directly from the project's design data to ensure precision and quality throughout the construction process.
The entire roof system features TATA Standing Seam Metal Roofing with integrated rockwool insulation, providing long-term durability, weather resistance, and thermal performance. With a total built-up area of 128,330 sq ft, including a 29,796 sq ft main church hall, the development is conceived as a single integrated structure. Beyond the worship auditorium, the facility will accommodate a cafeteria, Sunday school classrooms, guest house, administrative offices, restrooms, shower and changing facilities, spacious green rooms, and a full-circumference ground-floor corridor. A dual-lane car porch provides dedicated entry and exit for efficient traffic flow and visitor access.
The project has now entered the interior construction phase, with landscape development to follow upon completion of the building works. The master plan also includes a large landscaped park behind the church, creating a serene outdoor environment that complements the architectural vision.
As a project of exceptional scale and ambition, the full realization of the vision is expected to continue over the next decade, culminating in a campus designed to serve future generations with excellence in worship, community, and ministry.
